Subject: Abduction memory
Date: Mon, 6 Feb 1995 19:03:51 -0700 (MST)
Organization: The University of Calgary
The following is an excerpt from a recent letter I wrote to Whitley Strieber:
"I'm one of those who, at a mere glance at the cover of Communion, bought
the book without hesitation. As I've described it to close family, I can't
say for sure that this happened, but I have these memories:
I recall this experience around early 1950 in Calgary, when I was about 4
years old, that includes three vignettes. The first features a maternal
figure with the large eyes featured on the cover of Communion. Most
remarkable is the wonderful feeling of being known, understood, and loved
at the core of the person I was. Children can often feel ignored or looked
down upon, especially if the adults involved are stuck in ego consciousness.
This 'Mater' directly honoured my intelligence and gave me a guided tour.
I suspect telepathy was involved.
The second vignette is a laboratory. It vaguely feels like a stainless steel
room. I do not remember the actual procedure, but I know I was probed via
the rectum with a thin, flexible, metallic instrument. I was shown how the
instrument worked. An egg-beater shaped device was contained within the tip
of the probe. Inserted in the rectum, the egg-beater part could be extended,
rotated to harvest a sample of 'flora' from the intestinal wall, and
retracted within the probe. This was not a traumatizing experience at all
according to the 'mood' of this 'non'-memory.
The third scene takes place in the nursery. 'Mater' is showing me a room full
of incubators that house small humanoid creatures under transparent covers.
She explains that her people experiment with creating new forms of people
which they put on other worlds to survive or not according to their
adaptability. The sample of 'flora' was taken from my intestine because they
were having trouble culturing a suitable intestinal environment to sustain
the lives of their creatures.
This information represents the content of my early memory on the subject
of alien life. Generally speaking, I consider it a positive experience in
my life...."
